John 19:16-23

Today, on this beautiful Mother’s Day, we not only celebrate the love, labor, and legacy of our mothers we also declare God’s liberating truth:
In Christ, the curse is broken. In Christ, the silenced are called to speak.
There’s a tension in the Body of Christ still alive today. A long-held tradition says, “Women must be silent. Women cannot lead. Women are to always be in subjection.”
But is that what the Word of God really teaches?
